This project provides for the development of an updated, town-wide parks and recreation master plan to address the immediate and future recreational, open space and waterfront access needs and demands of the town residents. Through an extensive public participation process, this project inventoried existing parks and recreational assets, defined and prioritized goals, set achievable implementation strategies and analyzed associated budgetary and funding priorities. The Town has approximately 128 acres of public parkland. There are six public parks, well distributed throughout East Greenbush, providing a variety of recreational facilities to residents and visitors.
The Town Park is the largest public recreation facility in the Town. Only 12 of the total 120 acre parcel is formally developed; the remainder is wooded green space. This park offers a swimming area, two picnic pavilions, an interactive playground, sports courts, trails, fishing, ice skating and sledding hill.

Hampton Lake Park, at 2.26 acres, is the second largest public recreational facility in the Town. This park contains two tennis courts, basketball court, playground equipment, picnic tables, beach fishing area, non-motorized boating access, ice skating, benches and a beach house with restrooms.

Onderdonk Memorial Park, is a handicapped accessible, adult oriented park containing a parking lot, small pavilion with picnic tables and restrooms, bocce, shuffleboard, horseshoes and a putting green.

Woodland's Eckman Park, is a 1.67 acre, small neighborhood park with two tennis courts, a basketball court, playground equipment and an open field for lawn games.

Ontario Park is approximately 1.5 acres and contains a small parking lot and a basketball court. Approximately one-third of the site is open space with grass and trees.
