Laberge Group was responsible for obtaining funding, planning, designing and construction observation for the 20+ acre environmentally sensitive park in the urban Village of Colonie.

One of the key components to planning the park access road was to connect it with a major pedestrian thoroughfares in the Village and ensure park usage by the public. A previous project provided sidewalks along Sand Creek Road that accommodates pedestrian mobility.

The park includes benches, wildlife amenities, recreational trails, landscaping treatments and a series of interpretive trails, which draw the population from the neighboring residential areas.A large portion of the park is handicapped accessible as required under the Americans with Disabilities Act. As a result of this project, usage has significantly increased in the park thus improving the quality of life in the Village.
