Laberge Group was retained for the comprehensive project planning, funding and design of a new Town Park facility designed to alleviate the demands for playing fields and provide cross country ski and nature trails.

Laberge Group provided, grant writing services that resulted in an Environmental Quality Bond Act grant that was administered by Laberge Group.

The design incorporated handicapped accessible structures and facilities including a pavilion with concession and rest rooms, nature trails, cross-country ski trails, playground, three softball fields, a soccer field and exercise trail.

The land acquired by the Town for this project is along a hillside, presenting challenges. Grading of the facility was particularly important in order to make efficient use of the park lands. A large portion of the park was left in its natural state to provide passive recreation for those not utilizing the playing fields.
