Laberge Group assisted the Village through development of a successful $750,000 Community Development Block Grant application focused on the expansion of the Kiryas Joel Meat Market, Inc., a major industry in the community.

This private sector company desperately needed to expand its space given escalating and pressing demands for its product. This large kosher poultry processing facility not only met a great need in the community, but also created 76 new jobs in addition to the existing 15 positions.

The funding provided by the Governor's Office for Small Cities made the difference between the success and failure of the company. Today the factory is fully staffed and very successful. It has developed a very positive reputation, serving clients throughout the region, the five boroughs of New York City, and Pennsylvania .
